We are the first automaker to publish full Scope-3 upstream emissions with third-party assurance (KPMG, 2026). No adjusted metrics. No cherry-picked baselines. No carbon-offset accounting tricks. The numbers are what they are, and we'll show you our work.
Our 2030 target covers direct operations (Scope 1) and purchased energy (Scope 2) — 100% renewable electricity across 38 factories and 184 offices. Fourteen of our facilities are already certified carbon-neutral by TÜV Rheinland.
The harder target is 2045: our full upstream — every raw material, every component, every logistics mile. Lithium mining, cobalt refining, steel production. This will only work if our suppliers transition with us, and we've committed $2.8B to help them.

Net-zero across full value chain
Includes all Scope 3 — upstream mining, refining, logistics, dealer operations, vehicle use.
95% battery recovery & reuse rate
Closed-loop recycling program; second-life stationary storage before mechanical shred.
100% PFAS-free vehicle interiors
Coatings, foams, adhesives. Zero intentionally-added per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances.
